HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO BECOME
A GREAT GUITARIST?
(OR JUST HAVE A LOT OF FUN LEARNING TO PLAY?)
Are you a beginner, or maybe just stuck in a rut? Have attempts at learning or improving on the guitar by yourself or with an ineffective teacher left you feeling like you've hit a wall? The path to playing music right NOW is fast and simple when you hire the right teacher. If you're not progressing at a satisfactory rate, it could be for a number of reasons.
You want to take the shortest route possible to the greatest results. Work with a teacher who is trained in knowing how to get you where YOU want to go. Let me help you.
Hi, I'm Grant Schinto with G & R Guitar Lessons and I bring infectious PASSION to my guitar teaching! I specialize in classic* and blues-based rock guitar styles and emphasize creative development & expression. But it's certainly not limited to that.
I can train you to the point where you can learn your favorite songs by ear. If you're interested in playing lead guitar, I'll have you playing your favorite licks, and get you to where you can even create your own solos as well as write your own songs.
Do you want to learn how to jam like a pro? Do you want to quickly learn the basics about playing guitar and even songwriting so you have a virtually unlimited ARSENAL of idea from which to choose and begin creating your own music ASAP?
I know what works as well as what DOESN'T work and I will not waste your time with boring, (and in some cases even HARMFUL) techniques.
Whatever you’re trying to do, I will help you get there with fast and effective methods that WORK and produce results that are noticeable, and in most cases, measurable.
I also teach the basics (and intermediate to advanced level programs, depending on the genre) of heavy metal, country, pop, folk, open tunings, alternative, and jazz.
But enough about me. Here's something to ponder:
Are you getting the whole story behind taking guitar lessons? Did you know that many myths exist that keep people from taking guitar lessons and pursuing their musical goals? One of those myths is that one must have "natural talent" to become a good guitar player. Well, having talent certainly helps, but it's only a fraction of what goes into the pie of becoming an awesome guitar player.
The key is NOT talent. The key is knowing what to play, how to play it, and how to simply build it up from there. It’s knowing what is important and applying it, as much as it is about knowing what is NOT important and instead focusing on the things that will get you where you want to be as a guitar player in the shortest time possible.
Consider the words of legendary American inventor Thomas Edison: "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration." If anyone had the right to claim the title “genius” it was certainly Thomas Edison. But it wasn’t his “genius” that brought us game changing and life changing modern wonders such as the phonograph, movie camera or light bulb. It was his willingness to persist.
Thomas Edison had to rely on a lot of trial and error. There is no trial and error with G & R Guitar Lessons. You won't be wasting your time with useless tactics or an ineffective practice regimen. You will learn and be trained on not only how to do, but how to apply and implement everything you do using only tried and true methods that work and consistently produce results.
I can help you go where you want to go, whether it's to become the best player you can possibly be, or just to have fun (or somewhere in between).
And even if you are a total beginner with NO EXPERIENCE whatsoever I can get you playing recognizable, REAL music in 5 minutes or less.
I'm so confident that I can help you get where you want to go that I offer a free introductory lesson. Contact me and let's schedule your free introductory lesson where we can evaluate your goals and map out your dreams. And if you're not even sure what your dreams or goals are, that's okay because I can help you with that as well!
Steer clear of inaccurate or confusing information, avoid bad habits and unlearn any you may have already picked up along the way.
Learn how to play unforgettable licks that get EVERYONE'S attention, jam like a pro and even write your own music!

Artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, Metallica, Rush, U2,The Cars, R.E.M., Pat Benatar, and Iron Maiden, come to mind, to name more than several, as do their contemporary musical progenies such as Muse, Avril Lavigne, and Wilco.
**Beginners are MORE than welcome, with the minimum age to start being 7 years old and having finished grade 1 in primary school, though exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
HERE'S WHAT SATISFIED CUsTOMERS ARE SAYING ABOUT G & R GUITAR LESSONS:
"I am a 60 year old male who has wanted to play guitar his whole adult life. Earlier this year I made a decision to find a teacher and make a dedicated effort to learn the craft and not just some half measured attempt at it. Grant is my third teacher in this time and I’m so happy I found him. The first two teachers I saw was a terrible experience and a total waste of my money. Unlike the others, Grant meets with you first for a free intro lesson so he can find out what you are looking for in lessons and what kind of music you are interested in learning, and to see if you like him and what he has to say, as well as make sure you have a good feeling about him and would like to continue seeing him for lessons. This is totally unheard of for a teacher to do this he’s the only teacher I know who does it. As far as my other teachers they just teach the same curriculum to every student who walks through the door. No customization for each student whatsoever. Their lessons are only a half an hour and by the time you setup, take care of paying, schedule the next weeks lesson, etc, you have fifteen minutes left. It’s a joke. A lot of teachers think they know how to teach but they really have no clue. You will not find this with Grant. He offers so much more then just lesson time with him. He sets you up with your own webpage through his website, which covers what you went over in your previous lesson, mp3’s of the songs you worked on, relevant literature, and tabs. I've never seen anything remotely like this from a teacher. This is what is known in business as value added content and he does it great at no extra charge. I could go on and on, but I’ll just say give him a shot and learn the guitar or just keep aimlessly wandering through videos on you tube just learning different licks." - Mark L.
"After decades of hitting walls in my guitar playing I was discouraged and hopeless! I needed someone to show me what I was missing. What I found with lessons from G&R was: the ability to see the road map of the fretboard, and understand how it’s tied together, proper technique, and most of all, everything I learned made everything I was striving for easier to obtain! I can spread out and do more things--express myself more through lead guitar." - Skot W.
"Grant brings a high level of passion and professionalism to music instruction. He first and foremost loves music and enjoys being a resource to others who love music as well. I strongly recommend Grant Schinto for anyone considering taking guitar lessons. He is a dedicated teacher that will strive to provide material designed to improve any player's abilities and that will match the student's musical interests." - James T.
